The Explore button links you to a powerful, easy-to-use Bible research tool. If you are using a computer with Windows, Explore links you to the Zondervan Publishing House BibleSource program, with the full NIV Bible text and footnotes, plus the King James Version Bible text. On a Macintosh computer, you have access to Zondervan's macBible program and Bible modules.
Either tool, BibleSource or macBible, give you powerful search capability. For example: Type "kingdom AND peace" in BibleSource's Search Words and Phrases window, and then click OK. Every verse that contains "kingdom" and "peace" is found and displayed. Searches can consist of a single word, a partial word, a phrase, or several words joined by AND, OR, or NOT. You can extend a search to the entire Bible or limit it to a certain portion of the Bible. Your options are practically limitless. You can also open the NIV text, footnotes, and King James Version and tile the windows. Then try linking the windows together so each text window is synchronized. The Explore software is upgradable to include other Bible translations, Bible dictionaries (Windows only), commentaries, the Greek and Hebrew text, and more. When you are finished exploring with BibleSource or macBible and are ready to return to the Discovery Interactive course, just exit the program and you will be returned to the point where you left the course.
